Solid Families Are the Foundation of the Nation
Melanie Wooten discusses the necessity to return to child-bearing and child-rearing families if the United States is to survive.
Circles
By Melanie K. Wooten
The greatest factor in the decline in American job quality and quantity was the availability of birth control and/or abortion at the same time the European nations were aging, without replacements, but increasing in population by mass migrations after the devastation of the two World Wars and continuous bickering among the non-industrialized nations that use money from the industrialized nations to buy the weapons that drive their citizens to immigrate to countries providing the money for the weapons so that they can escape the chaos and destruction created by the weapons. (Whew!) Some circle, huh?
At the same time this situation became a political issue in Europe, America launched into an era of so-called “social responsibility” requiring medical care, low-cost housing, etc., be provided to those less fortunate, which would not have been an overwhelming burden were it not for the dramatic change to our immigration laws in 1965 at the same time the pharmaceutical companies were making birth control a reality to the burgeoning middle class. Another circle.
The major economic powers in the modern world have found themselves inundated with immigrants from poorer countries who, with the exception of China, have no bars to reproduction, but since the non-industrialized nations are unable to feed, clothe and care for their ever-burgeoning populations, immigration is encouraged and even undertaken illegally in order to achieve a better life for the immigrants and their families in the industrialized nations. One circle.
The imbalance of this situation is readily apparent when those earning no money and/or paying no taxes receive services not available to or affordable by those footing the bill for the medical care, housing, etc., because of the horrendous tax bill required to pay for the services provided to those not paying the taxes! The old adage of supply and demand has continued to operate in this downward spiral so that those investing much time, effort and money in qualifying for what were high-paying jobs, in reasonable expectation of receiving a well-paying position as a return on their investment, find themselves competing for the jobs with those who have recently arrived to our shores; in many instances being provided preferential status by their hoped-for employers under “affirmative action.” Another circle completed.

There is a song by Michel Legrand / Alan Bergman & Marilyn Bergman that became the theme for “The Thomas Crown Affair”. The lyrics are prophetic of what is happening to us now: “Round. Like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel; never ending or beginning on an ever spinning reel; like a snowball down a mountain, or a carnival balloon; like a carousel that’s turning, running rings around the moon; like a clock whose hands are sweeping past the minutes of its face, and the world is like an apple, whirling silently in space; as the images unwind in the windmills of your mind.” There is more to the song, and the lyrics become more poignant as we see this madness of open borders; preferential treatment; endless brushfire wars at divergent points of the globe that the united States feels compelled to transport men and equipment to subdue, in a spiral of chaos and destruction.
Even if we won’t admit it, we are meddling in God’s business. How absolutely blasphemous! But we are still not content with controlling Life’s beginning and end; we send our best and brightest to these same nations that are disgorging those they deem unnecessary or undesirable, so that we can assist in the control of those who are not fortunate enough to get away from the poverty and turmoil!
The ONLY way to put an end to these circles is to stop our meddling behavior, NOW. We have poked our noses into places they don’t belong when we decide that we will not have children because it is inconvenient, or any other reason we have dreamed up to bring us to the point where we are ‘importing’ people! And then we have the temerity to not just prevent conception of children; we decide which tiny being who manages to survive that process is going to be allowed to live because of perceived imperfections and failings. The circle has now come around to the point where we who managed to survive birth could be required to die --- not in God’s Time, but someone else’s --- in the name of that same convenience.
A dear friend said we must STOP THE INSANITY. He’s right. We must return to our beginning. The only way we can do this is to get on our knees and ask God’s forgiveness for our pride in replacing Him as the Creator of Life, replacing Him as the Comforter at Death, replacing Him as our journey’s Companion. The circle of life for us started as babies, dependent on our parents. We soon learned to crawl on our hands and knees, and with the help of others, we finally stood and became (we thought) masters of all we surveyed. The American Circle will not be complete until we return to our knees in humility and obedience to the Creator of Life, the Companion on our journey, and the Comforter at our death.
