Saint Hillary
Rob Hood reminds us of Hillary’s hypocrisy.
-------------------
Hillary Rodham Clinton, throughout her adult life, has apparently been prepared to project any public appearance that would gain her objectives of the moment. Such behavior is, of course, what our educational system teaches students under the rubric of situation ethics, expressed earlier as John Dewey’s philosophy of pragmatism.
Professor Dewey lectured the nation in the first half of the 20th century that Darwin’s atheistic, evolutionary hypothesis had wiped out the basis of Judeo-Christian personal morality, leaving us with success-or-failure of action as our only guideline to validate personal conduct in a world characterized by the struggle for survival. There is no independent criterion of right or wrong; if it works for you, it’s OK.
Hillary is thus walking along the same path as the corporate executives in recent scandals at Enron and Tyco, who were merely behaving as they had been taught by our secular educational system.
As the late Murray Rothbard described it in “Saint Hillary And The Religious Left, “ (December 1994)
“...the hallmark and the fanatical drive of the left for these past centuries has been in devoting tireless energy to bringing about, as rapidly as they can, their own egalitarian, collectivist version of a Kingdom of God on Earth. In short, this truly monstrous movement is what might be called “left-post-millennialist.” It is messianic and post-millennialist because Man, not Christ or Providence, is supposed to bring about the Kingdom of God on Earth (KGE), that is, in the Christian version, that Christ is only supposed to return to earth after Man has established the 1,000 year KGE. It is leftist because in this version, the KGE is egalitarian and collectivist, with private property stamped out, and the world being run by a cadre or vanguard of Saints.
“.....But, as we all know, it is Hillary, not Slick Willie, who is the hard-core ideologue in the White House. Hillary’s theological agenda was perceptively unveiled recently by the knowledgeable, if admiring and liberal, Kenneth L. Woodward, religion editor of Newsweek. (Kenneth L. Woodward, “Soulful Matters,” Newsweek (Oct. 31, 1994) pp. 23-25) In a lengthy exclusive interview with Hillary, Woodward reports that our Lady Macbeth simply considers herself “an old-fashioned Methodist.”
“.......Now obviously, and of course, a lot of this is Hillary’s drive to “reinvent” herself, that is, to create a duplicitous false image, to make herself less threatening to the angry American public. And surely the late-nineteenth-century Social Gospelers would be horrified at the current multi-gendered, condomaniacal Clintonian left, to say nothing of the rapid revolving of poor John Wesley in his eighteenth-century English grave....”
The Social Gospel movement gained wide acceptance in the late 1800s and early 1900s, after socialism became accepted in the United States among the educated middle and upper classes. I wrote in Truth:
“Nominally-Christian theological seminaries were in the vanguard of the movement toward socialism. Rochester Theological Seminary’s professor Walter Rauschenbusch, one of the best known socialist spokesmen of his era, was a founder of the Social Gospel movement late in the 19th century. Social Gospel was nothing more nor less than socialism masquerading as Christianity.
“Social Gospel embraced the avowed aims of socialism, which sound similar to the results that flow from the Bible’s commandment to love one’s neighbor as he would wish to have his neighbor love him. The insurmountable problem is that socialism, and therefore Social Gospel, is atheistic and materialistic, i.e., the antithesis of Christianity and religious Judaism.
In “The Company He Keeps,” a January 17, 1993, article appearing in the New York Times Magazine, Michael Kelly and Maureen Dowd wrote:
“Both Clintons are committed believers in the liberal religion of their 60’s college days, the promise that Government activism and central planning could solve the problems of private lives. But far from being liberal sentimentalists, they are political pragmatists. Both husband and wife were chastened by the lesson of Clinton’s 1980 defeat in Arkansas: that the public does not like politicians who surround themselves with the kind of people George Orwell once described as “that dreary tribe of high-minded women and sandal-wearers and bearded fruit-juice drinkers who come flocking towards the smell of ‘progress,’ like bluebottles to a dead cat.”
“........ When George Bush decided to run for President, there were suggestions that Barbara Bush spruce herself up. “I’ll do anything you want,” she told Roger Ailes, the campaign media adviser, “but I won’t dye my hair, change my wardrobe or lose weight.”
“By contrast, Hillary Clinton, supposedly far more independent, transformed her looks from plain to glamorous, from campus radical frump to blond Junior Leaguer with velvet headband—a curtsy to the mainstream. After her husband’s 1980 gubernatorial defeat, she also gave up her surname, Rodham, a sacrifice to prove she wasn’t an uppity Northern feminist, and took the name Clinton.”
In May of that year, reporter Kelly’s interview with Hillary appeared in the New York Times Magazine, giving rise to the name “Saint Hillary.” In the interview, Hillary Rodham Clinton spoke about the lack of spiritual meaning in contemporary society. Her words were alarming, both to believers in spiritual religion, and to atheistic and materialistic liberal-Progressives. The first group saw her words and action as hypocrisy. The second feared that she might really be serious about what she said.
The first group got it right, and the second had nothing to fear.
If we wish to be charitable in assessing Mrs. Clinton, we can say that she misunderstands Christianity and confuses it with the Social Gospel’s socialistic teachings.
An article by Rob Hood provides some specifics about how Hillary Rodham Clinton has navigated the path of liberal-Progressivism.

Did You Know? (1st Edition)
By Rob Hood
Did you know that Hillary Clinton was actually a Republican before she was a Democrat and actually campaigned for Barry Goldwater?
Did you know that a magazine called “motive,” spelled with a lower case m, and Hillary’s Methodist youth minister planted the seeds of the radical left into Hillary at an early age. At one time Hillary was a Goldwater Girl. This magazine was very left wing in the 1960s and 1970s and favored Cuba, the Black Panthers, socialism, and radical feminism. It was this magazine given to Hillary by her liberal youth minister that planted the seeds of liberalism in Hillary’s mind. In 1994, Hillary claimed that she still had every issue that was sent to her. She said this during an interview with Newsweek.
Hillary, though not a lesbian herself, was fascinated by the idea of lesbian relationships.
Hillary did not want to change her name to ‘Clinton’ once married. She wanted to keep her name because she did not want to feel like a ‘sacrificial spouse’ and wanted to keep credentials as a feminist.
These are only a very few of the things not publicly known to many about Hillary Clinton. So where did I get my information? I am so glad you asked.
This is an introduction to future articles on various books I will be reviewing. All of my future book reviews will start like this one. Notice this is the First Edition.
The book that I speak of is called “The Truth about Hillary” by Edward Klein. This is the book that Hillary does not want you to know about. It contains very informative facts about the history of Hillary and Bill Clinton and how scandal after scandal took place in the White House while they were there.
Bill was constantly having an affair with some other woman. It was not just a Monica thing. This was a normal part of his life and was even doing this before he and Hillary even married. She knew about it all the time. She tried to keep it well hidden from the public, but we all now that sooner or later the truth has to come out. The things talked about in this book includes campaign finance scandals and illegal contributions time after time, a lesbian/feminist filled White House staff of whom where personal friends of Hillary and some of Bill, and how she tried to cover up Bill’s blunders.
This book is absolutely a great read for anyone wanting to know what the mainstream media don’t want you to know about their prize candidate. Hillary herself even tried to stop this book from getting on the bestseller list and tried to undermine the whole distribution of it, but failed miserably.
I highly recommend Edward Klein’s The Truth about Hillary, available at most online bookstores and most local traditional bookstores.
