Prospects For Tomorrow
The estimable Paul Greenberg sums it up: Obama, bleak; Romney, maybe morning again in America.
Obama offers not a single new policy idea, just more of the same benighted business-bashing, strangling regulations, and Keynesian economic mythology. Romney’s policies are more in the direction of supply-side economics, a school of thought that recognizes the true, non-inflationary source of jobs and consumer spending: business payments to suppliers and workers.
Obama’s “recovery” has benefitted no one other than labor unions and the financial community. The labor pool is larger than when Obama took office, but fewer people are working full time. Retirees and anyone else on fixed income are being crushed by the Fed’s Keynesian-dictated near zero interest rates, while inflation is robbing them of purchasing power.
