Schadenfreude, taking pleasure in someone else’s pain, is un-Christian. We are enjoined to deal with everyone in Christian love and respect.
Nonetheless, we can pray that God, in His humanly unknowable plan, will deal with the forces of iniquity.
Flee from Babylon! Run for your lives! Do not be destroyed because of her sins. It is time for the LORD’s vengeance; he will pay her what she deserves. (Jeremiah 51:6)
In both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, Babylon is a symbol for all that is blasphemous and corrupt. In our own time, the New York Times has become the voice of modern-day Babylon, the hedonism and atheism of socialism.
God may be taking his vengeance.
