Freeman Dyson: A Voice for Reason
The message is that factors affecting our climate are in large part poorly understood or not understood at all. Flat predictions about what will happen to earth’s climate over the next decade or over the next century are neither scientific nor prudent.
Michael Porcari brought to my attention Professor Dyson’s essay titled Heretical Thoughts About Science And Society.
In case it escapes your notice, when Professor Dyson wrote this essay in 2007, he was a member of Princeton’s Institute for Advanced Studies, the venue where Albert Einstein spent his last years of his life on scientific research.
