The View From 1776
John Dewey: Dracula Still Undead in Full Sunlight
Subjecting the doctrines of John Dewey to full disclosure reveals ideas that only liberal-socialists could accept. Those ideas were to education what bleeding would be as a remedy for anemia.
While the man and his pernicious ideas are open to view, we have yet to put a stake through his heart and inter him forever.
Contrary to what The View is trying to tell me here, the sense I get from its overall tone is that the passage “all Men are created equal” in the Declaration as dribble. If this is not true I would like to hear from it what it thinks it means. What I hear from The View is that all Men are not created equal. The View compounds this idea I have in its hatred for John Dewey who fostered an educational system that supported and strengthened equality.
Posted by on 06/04 at 01:05 PMThe answer to Mr. Airth’s question is that all humans are equally creatures of God and therefore entitled to respect, civility, and kindness. All humans, at least within the United States and most Western nations, are entitled to equal justice under statute law.
In contrast, liberals worship an atheistic, materialistic scientism that gives them eugenic permission selectively to murder innocent babies when they stand in the way of the mother’s sexual promiscuity.
It also gives them permission arbitrarily to take from people who have worked to obtain what they have and give it to others who are unknown to them and have no claim other than being welfare dependents. To the extent it does so, liberalism robs individuals of their duty to contribute of their own free will, in God’s love, to charitable causes.
John Dewey’s equality is the forced, collectivized “equality” of the Soviet police state that he so deeply adored.
Posted by on 06/04 at 01:22 PMThe View has told me what liberalism does to destroy equality, which is pretty flimsy, but it didn’t tell me what conservatives do to protect it. The sense I get is that conservatives deny people from becoming equal. They have in the past with segregation. Their idea of “separate by equal” was pure racism and unequal.
In the view of The View if a person doesn’t believe in God or the same God or worships in the same way, they are not equal. Conservatives here are discriminative and not charitable. Why, if they had their way racism would still be a major problem in America, like it was in the 50s and 60s. Under solid conservative rule woman would still be unequal to men. Under solid conservative rule America would be an apartheid and unequal nation.
