The View From 1776

More Liberal-Progressive Thought Control

Social scientists too often today are identified with suppression of traditional scientific pursuit of truth via unconstrained consideration of all evidence. Some have become, instead, political propagandists for Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s unfounded theories of human nature and of Karl Marx’s philosophy of materialistic determinism.

This is hardly surprising, given the origin of the concept of social sciences by the French Encyclopedists in the period leading into the 1789 French Revolution, out of which came the materialistic religion of socialism.

For an account that illustrates the close-mindedness of today’s so-called social scientists, read Welcome to the Jungle.
