Email tells feds to make sequester as painful as promised

The entire point and objective of Congress in formulating their "Sequestration" bill was to make the failure to achieve a "grand bargain" so painful that the House and Senate would be forced to act responsibly. Remember that the House Republicans overwhelmingly voted for this measure and Speaker John Boehner reported with glee that he gotten "98% of what he wanted" in the measure.

    To now seek to ameliorate the impact of the Sequester would be counter to the original intent of Congress.

    You can't have it both ways - painful and not painful at the same time.
