- I would think as a conservative, you would instinctively rejoice in a rising stock market. Although with Libya we have seen some rise in oil and gasoline prices (which will push up the cost of everything), inflation has been remarkably low and continues to be low, in spite of all the shouting about QE2 and the falling sky!

This conservative (really , traditionalist) does not rejoice in bursts of speculation fueled by the Fed's creation of phony money.
