Public Broadcasting Subsidy: Unnecessary and Irrational

  1. The programs broadcast by National Public Radio are the crown jewels of our nation.

    The pittance that is funded by the government (pennies per person) is money far better spent than many other government endeavors.

    If the Republicans are successful in killing NPR it will be a sad day in our heritage.

    It is good to get another of your in-depth responses. After your extended hiatus from the site I had feared that your were out of commission.

    If you haven't listened to NPR in 10 years, perhaps your analysis should be updated with some more recent programming to see if your opinion has changed. I recommend "All Things Considered," "Science Friday," "On the Media," "Diane Rehm Show," or "Wait, wait.. Don't tell me" if you want some left wing political humor.
