Federal Aid To Socialist Education?

It’s not clear whether Obama’s Organizing for America (OFA) is promoting indoctrination of public school students with the ideology of Saul Alinsky and Bill Ayers, or whether some teachers are free-lancing with OFA indoctrination as class work.

  1. Mr. Brewton,

Your condemnation of John Dewey's theories of education is more non-nonsensical than some of your other inexplicable notions.

Dewey had the genius to grasp that hands-on and experiential learning was a much more effective way to teach than rote memorization by copying off the blackboard used in decades past.

This simple concept is now the fundamental basis of nearly all primary and secondary education in this country (whether or not you consider it subversive and sinister).

  2. Dewey was wrong. The dumbing down of the culture has it's roots in Dewey's approach. We have an entire generation of Americans without the ability to think critically, who will believe anything. The cult of the expert, keynesianism, Gramscian Marxism, scientism, agw, deconstructionism etc., etc., are examples of this defect writ large. We are becoming an incredibly stupid people.
