Since the 1930s New Deal, the Constitution has been inverted. Originally nearly all government responsibilities, known as police powers, were handled at the state and local levels, as the Ninth and Tenth Amendments of the Bill of Rights intended. Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal ignored the mandated Constitutional amendment procedures and imposed Soviet and Fascist-style state planning upon the nation, sucking nearly all tax revenues and powers from the states and into DC.

The liberal-Progressive drive, spearheaded by the ACLU, to banish spiritual religion from all public life would not have been possible before the socialist New Deal.
Reader Jan Paul Burr has a suggestion. He writes:
I would like to see more of America educated to the fact they live under two Constitutions, U.S. and State.
All 50 state constitutions have God in them. We had State Religions until 1833 and they weren’t unconstitutional becasue it was a state issue and the people, not federal courts did away with those state religions.
Here is a website that has the line from each State’s Constitution with God in it. Most were in the Preamble.
The Supreme Court left the Bill of Rights from the U.S. Constitution at the U.S. level for over 100 years and the State Constitutions and protections of rights were the guiding factor in laws.
The Supreme Court has picked and used various rights from the Bill of Rights even though the 14th Amendment wasn’t designed for that unless Congress had first applied a “right” to the states. Prior to that is was equal enforcement of the State’s Constitutional protections to all people.
Our Children have no idea of how this nation was founded due to 70 years of socialism controlled teaching that has promoted the type of Democracy the Socialists call a “radical democracy” in their principles. The following is not from their party web site since I don’t want to even honor them with a visit. Instead this is from a site that critiques their principles and which I found interesting in how weak their logic is.
The Socialist Party strives to establish a radical democracy that places people’s lives under their own control—a non-racist, classless, feminist, socialist society in which people cooperate at work, at home, and in the community.
I was hoping you could do an article(s) on the role of State Constitutions, how everyone is under a Constitution that has God in it, their State’s, and how socialism’s attemt to remove God from everything is “unconstitutional” both from the intent of the U.S. Constitution, but from the State as well, which does acknowledge God. If all 50 States are “under God,” we are a “nation under God.”
The 14th amendment didn’t repeal the 1st Amendment. It still reads, “Congress shall make no law,” thus, leaving the protection of 1st Amendment rights and the restriction of those rights in the hands of the people, “we the people,” through our state governments limited by the Constitution of “we the people,” in that State. The Court of the U.S. government, in violation of the intent of the U.S. Constitution and the 14th Amendment, rules on cases as if Congress had incorporated the 1st amendment into the States. The 14th say Congress has the power, not the Courts and I believe the 14th was written that way to keep the Courts from doing another Dred Scott where the Missouri Compromise was overturned and the future 1875 ban on segregation ruling as being “unconstitutional delaying “civil rights” for 80 years.
Gilbert, Arizona is becoming known as the Constitution Captial of America. Each fall, people in costumes of Washington, Franklin, Betsy Ross, Jefferson, etc. go to all elementary schools in Gilbert and talk about the Constitution and then promote the “Constitution Fair." This year thousands attended the event and children got to watch Sandra Day O’Connor preside over a “swearing in” ceremony of new citizens that had completed preparations for citizenship.
There were booths including the banches of the military, political groups, and others to help promote this nation’s Constitution. However, we need more on State Constitutions and the need to return them to the level of importance they held before socialism started centralizing everything in the Federal Government.
