When it comes to greenhouse-gas emissions, Energy Secretary Steven Chu sees Americans as unruly teenagers and the Administration as the parent that will have to teach them a few lessons.

Speaking on the sidelines of a smart grid conference in Washington, Dr. Chu said he didn’t think average folks had the know-how or will to to change their behavior enough to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions.

“The American public…just like your teenage kids, aren’t acting in a way that they should act,” Dr. Chu said. “The American public has to really understand in their core how important this issue is.”

...The administration aims to teach them—literally. The Environmental Protection Agency is focusing on real children. Partnering with the Parent Teacher Organization, the agency earlier this month launched a cross-country tour of 6,000 schools to teach students about climate change and energy efficiency…

Secretary Chu said he didn’t think that the public would throw the same political temper tantrum over climate legislation has has happened with the healthcare debate.

This propaganda initiative comes at a time when even the UN’s political propaganda committee (IPCC) admits that the earth has been in a cooling cycle for the past 12 years, at a time when the fiction of man-made global warming can be sustained only by ignoring or suppressing mounting worldwide evidence that contradicts the maniacal and egotistical ranting of would-be weather god Al Gore.

Two historical parallels spring to mind of indoctrinating young students in falsehoods to further the political ends of those in power: the Hitler Youth (Hitler Jugend) of the 1930s to train boys aged 13 to 18 in the principles of Nazism, and Soviet education, of which Vladimir Lenin said in 1923, “Children must be taught to hate their parents if they are not Communists.”
