Connecticut’s Socialist Democrats

Connecticut Democrats yesterday selected Ned Lamont as their candidate for the United States Senate.  In so doing they revealed their deep devotion to socialism, a religion that Mr. Lamont, in his brief public exposure, appears wholeheartedly to support.

In addition to his highly publicized attack on Senator Joseph Lieberman for his support of our troops in Iraq, Mr. Lamont advocates, for example, a favorite Socialist program, Canadian-style universal health care, which he calls a “basic human right.”
