A Timely Reminder
Mark Christian’s article makes it clear that the single-issue political campaigns calling for us to get out of Iraq are missing the bigger picture.
WORLD WAR III
Bt Mark Christian
It has begun. World War III is well underway. It didn’t take the events of 911, the 2003 U.S. led War in Iraq, Israel’s invasion in Lebanon to destroy Hezbollah, or even Newt Gingrich announcing it in a clear and accurate manner to make this declaration. We are now facing a determined enemy who is well educated, well armed, funded, supported, and devoted to its cause to annihilate everything in our existence.
As much as many liberal democrats in power or European socialists would hate to admit it, we can see throughout the world that there is a struggle against even a modicum of freedom or civilization against a global Islamic empire about to take an overall position of power.
France has seen this in the last couple years in their non-existent borders and arrogant willingness to allow Muslims from Africa into their country. They have not only had an open border policy but the French government is now willing to talk about allowing arranged marriages for Muslims and at the same time cowering to the riots, further gang activity, and raping of women because of their freedom.
The Spanish have also acquiesced terrorists after the Madrid bombing by sending home all of their troops in Iraq. Even the U.S.’s supposed “ally” on the war on terror, Great Britain, now shows us that many of their law makers have a weak stance and ultra-liberal mentality towards terror in failing to extradite or prosecute suspects of terror attacks that happen outside the country. Even Socialist President’s like South America’s Hugo Chaves show with this enemy in their ties with Iran, Russia, and Al Qaeda.
Many people can look back over the past several decades at the attacks they have made-the bombing of the destructive history of Hamas, the Palestinians, and transnational terrorist groups worldwide.
People that know Islam’s brutal recent history can trace them activities back towards the1983 Marine barracks bombing in Lebanon, the more current attacks in Bali, Indonesia, the U.S.S. Cole attack, the Kenya embassy bombing, the Madrid train attacks, the London bus bombing, the Beslan Russian school massacre, or the on-going terrorist attacks against Israel by the Hezbollah.
If you look back in history any further you will find the origins of the religion of peace to see the kind of person Mohammad was as a marauding, pedophiliac monster or even hundreds of years later at the 1979 Iranian Revolution to see where all this came from.
It’s appalling that most Americans have put the events of 911 behind us and just seem to think that any form of Islamic terrorism that happens in Israel or overseas is just “their problem.” That concept, that some libertarians and isolationists, like Pat Buchanon, and apathetic Americans have adopted that will be the end of us all.
Isolationism might have been possible back in the “roaring twenties” and many conservatives who praise Reagan saw only a world of two equal superpowers of the US. and the U.S.S.R. These people though failed to look at smaller, burrowing problems, such as middle east issues, which has escalated into the new world war we see today.
Fortunately, due to geographical reasons and the fact we still have a stable democracy and economy the gives up the luxury about going about our day like there is no problem. That’s one positive that we have and should in a way since the overall mission of terrorism is to instill fear. It is also important that we look at terror related subjects like American citizen’s civil liberties and the Patriot Act on how they respond to this epidemic.
Unfortunately though, there has been an ever-growing alliance between the far left, including the ACLU, Amnesty International, and the anti-war left to slow down, impede, and even work against U.S. troops, the intelligence community, and the criminal justice system in this global war.
They do their harm by working in favor of the Islamic extremists by providing them legal council, finances, and media propaganda in the “fuel for the fire” on their side. I’m not sure who made these organizations experts on how to handle combat operations but I’m quiet sure they don’t have the military education and training that our troops do so they should be telling them how to do their job.
It is beyond absurd for any reasonable person to believe how the radical left’s illusory utopian vision of communism can support a completely different ideology of Islamic rule because the two obviously don’t fall in line. They only fall in line with two issues, anything that destroys American framework and way of life and secondly, they are both supportive of a totalitarian-style government.
In the Middle East region, under Saddam Hussein, most women could not come out of their homes alone. Also, many women were beaten and raped, much less given the right to work or vote. If the feminists organizations had any credibility whatsoever they would be in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other places of the Middle East working to give women their due rights as basic human beings. Instead, they have lost every ounce of honesty by allying themselves with the masterminds of terror exacerbating the lack of treatment of women in these societies.
The truth of the radical left continues to be a major double standard. For instance, the so-called “human rights” campaigns continuously criticizing of Isreal’s security barrier or blaming the Bush administration for all of the social injustices that has created this hatred in terrorist’s hearts for western civilization. If these human rights groups wanted people to take them seriously they would however look at issues worldwide and openly criticize and even labor in reducing the Islamic hardliners random beatings, killings, and attacks which are what “human rights abuses” actually are.
Unfortunately, for most ignorant and apathetic Americans, they won’t give up these fights because they see the bigger picture of furthering establishing the enemy within our nation-whoever that enemy maybe.
By continuing support for Muslim anti-American institutions like the Center for American Islamic Relations and the Muslim American Alliance they continue to hinder our progress in Iraq and efforts towards a certain level of freedom in the Mid-East region.
Many Americans are starting to wonder what’s going on by these elements abetting or catering to the Islamic monster’s whines and whims in their plan of carrying out more attacks on innocent people. Our citizens have however slithered into a lazy and indifferent attitude about what and who we face as our opponent.
Sure there are problems and issues in our country where people can side with the Democrats or Republicans on but we all have one thing in common. Regardless of the PC-hyphenated culture, were all American’s.
If we don’t harden our stomachs about what we need to do to be successful in Iraq, Afghanistan, in our protection of our truly closest ally, Israel, we will lose. It could be slow like what’s happening in Europe or it could be a series of attacks that completely cripples our way of life. Either way we, as a nation, need to re-consider how we handle suspected terrorists at Guantanamo, let our commanders decide how our boys handle our forces combat operations were engaged in, and who we back in this war.
Too many people take for granted everything they have in our country from their family, friends, job, and overall culture. I just hope American’s soon fully appreciate everything we have in life here for it is all annihilated by the monsters that are tearing up rest of the world.
Many of our citizens think that the U.S. is arguable one of the greatest civilizations that every existed. They somehow believe that we can’t fall but it’s important to remember how another civilization fell-the Roman Empire. They were in many ways much larger and much more powerful than American and they fell largely because of too much power and bad decision making. We will fall from an area that we can do something about now-a subversive enemy that lies within our borders and the establishment of a pacifist approach to an enemy that knows know boundaries.
This is a war against humanity worldwide and particular the United States. Parents can forget going to their kids soccer games, PTA meetings, people can stop attending church gatherings and community events, and our democratic process will come to a halt if the Islamic fascists take over.
There will be no more discussion about government regulations, gay marriage, stem cell research, or even space travel if we give in or lose this war on terror. Everything is at stake.
